He holds office because he is of the blood' — and proposes blocking the two narrow escape roads, Jiashi and Guichi, to take him alive and roll on to Shouchun, 'the one chance in the thousand'. Lu Xun answers 'I do not think the plan good', and Zhu Huan resents the rejection and walks away. Executes the plan he was given anyway: gets behind the Wei camp by the second watch, kills Zhang Pu — who mistakes his column for friends in the dark — and lights the signal fire.
