Pei Jing

Commander of the Left, and the first to ask the obvious question after a month of rain has put the plain under three feet of water: 'The rain keeps pouring down, and tents cannot be pitched on mud. May the army be moved to camp on the higher ground?' Sima Yi flouts the suggestion and announces that anyone who raises it again will be put to death. Pei Jing agrees and goes away, which is why he survives the chapter.
