It is Shen Yi's secret message that tells Sima Yi the revolt is coming. Arrives outside Xincheng under his own banner, is taken for a rescuer, and answers the opened gates with 'Rebel, stay!' Promoted and given a post in Sima Yi's army.

They also take the abandoned Jieting camps, so that Wei Yan and Wang Ping come back to find them held, and drive the pair to Liliu. Left with Shen Dan to garrison Liliu when Sima Yi moves on Xicheng.
