Ehe

Half of the Qiang commander the translation calls 'Ehe Shaoge' (two chieftains in the original, run together into one name here). Leads Mi Dang's fifty thousand to Nanan, is sent with Chen Tai on the night raid, rides into the pits dug for him - 'soldiers and horses went tumbling into great pits' - and dies there: 'the leader, Ehe Shaoge, committed suicide in a pit.'
