Wang Bi

Cao Cao's 'solid as stone or iron' choice for the Imperial Guard, appointed over Sima Yi's warning about his wine. The conspirators fire his camp mid-feast; Geng Ji's arrow finds his shoulder; and he learns the plot's author by knocking at Jin Yi's own door — the wife inside calls out 'have you killed Wang Bi?' He carries the alarm to Cao Xiu, and dies of the wound, buried with honor.
